Futari no on'na wa Yamauba-san no senaka wo jiro jiro mimashita. Bishoujo wa nakimashita.

Bishoujo wa chiisai koe ni "arigatou gozaimashita" to iimashita.

Shiori-san wa bishoujo ni "Iie. Daijoubu desu ka." to kikimashita.

Bishoujo wa "Watashi wo tetsudatta no de, harau tsumori desu," to itte, mori ni damashita.

Bikkuri shita no de, Shiori-san wa uchi ni kaerimashita.

The two girls stared at Yamauba's back. The pretty young girl cried.

In a small voice, the girl said "thank you."

Shiori asked the girl "It's all right. Are you okay?"

The girl said "Because you helped me, I intend to pay you" and then left the forest.

Because she was surprised, Shiori just returned home.
